No. You don’t need to understand anything about blockchain. It’s completely invisible, you simply register your watch and get a digital record.

Never. Serial numbers are encrypted. The public verification page proves a watch is registered and clean without revealing anything a thief could use.

You transfer the passport to the buyer in two clicks, and the record follows the watch, not the platform it was sold on. A watch with a verifiable history is simply worth more.

Your first registration is free. After that it is €25 per watch, or a membership that covers as many as you like. Transferring a watch to its next owner is always free.

RGATT is a provenance registry, not a place to buy or sell watches

RGATT operates a provenance and traceability registry for fine watches. It does not list watches for sale, is never a party to a sale agreed between members, and never holds, escrows or moves funds relating to such a sale. Registration establishes the authenticity of a piece as a best-efforts obligation and is not a warranty of its condition. A clean result in the stolen registry means no theft report matches, not that a watch is guaranteed free of any claim.
